How do I sync files between computers? Dropbox

How do I sync files between computers?

Syncing your files between all of your computers, smartphones, and tablets is what Dropbox is all about. All you have to do is install the Dropbox desktop application and sign in using the same login on all your devices.
If you've already installed Dropbox, simply adding files to your Dropbox folder will automatically sync the file to your Dropbox, which means you can open it from any other computer, smartphone, or tablet that also has Dropbox installed.
If you'd rather sync some files with other people on other Dropbox accounts, that's easy too; just create a shared folder instead.

Install the Dropbox app

  1. Start by downloading Dropbox on each computer, smartphone, and tablet you want to sync with.
  2. When installing, you will be prompted to either sign in or create a new account. You only need one account no matter how many devices you want to keep in sync.
  3. Once Dropbox is installed, you'll notice a new Dropbox folder on your hard drive. Add files to your Dropbox folder, and Dropbox will automatically watch them and make sure they are in sync. You can now access your files through the Dropbox website.
  4. Once you have installed the application on each of your computers using the same Dropbox login, your files will appear in the Dropbox folders of those computers as well.
That's it. Dropbox will watch your Dropbox folder and automatically make sure your files are the same no matter where you access them. No buttons are needed and no further settings are required. You don't have to do anything.

How do I upload files from my phone or tablet?

The Dropbox mobile app gives you different ways to upload files from your phone or tablet to your Dropbox. Once files are uploaded, they will sync with Dropbox on your computer and all your other devices.

Upload photos and videos automatically

Dropbox can automatically upload photos and videos taken from your Android device. This feature is calledCamera Upload, and you can turn it on when you first install the app or by going to the app's settings. You can also choose whether to allow uploading when your device is connected to a cellular network.

Upload photos and videos manually

First navigate to the location within your Dropbox where you would like to put these files. Then tap the menu button in the top-right corner of the screen and choose Upload here. You can select files from your gallery or your phone's local memory.

What's Dropbox?

What's Dropbox?

"One place for all your stuff, wherever you are."

 register from here --> Dropbox

Dropbox is a home for all your photos, docs, videos, and files. Anything you add to Dropbox will automatically show up on all your computers, phones and even the Dropbox website — so you can access your stuff from anywhere.
Dropbox also makes it super easy to share with others, whether you're a student or professional, parent or grandparent. Even if you accidentally spill a latte on your laptop, have no fear! Relax knowing that your stuff is safe in Dropbox and will never be lost.

Be anywhere

Dropbox works hard to make sure that all your stuff is the same wherever you happen to be. Start a doc from a computer at school or work, make edits from your phone on the way home, then add finishing touches from a tablet in your living room.
With apps available for all your computers, phones, and tablets, you can show off videos, automatically upload photos, or open documents from anywhere.

Simple sharing

Dropbox makes sharing easy. Invite your friends, family, and teammates to any folder in your Dropbox, and it'll be as if you saved that folder straight to their computer.
You can send people links to specific files, photos, and folders in your Dropbox, too. This makes Dropbox perfect for team projects, sharing party photos with friends, or recording your band's debut album.

The ABC’s of Closet Organization

A is for assess.  Before you begin to organize your closet, you need to assess your space and your goals.  Do you have enough room for everything you own and more importantly do you wear it?  If the answer to these two questions is yes, then you can skip the step of having to purge and sort your closet contents.  But if you are like most people, there are many items in your closet - uncomfortable shoes or skinny jeans you hope to fit into one day – that can and should go.  Before you begin, decide if you need to just organize or if a de-cluttering session is necessary.

B is for basics.  The next step is to decide how you want to organize your closet.  The possibilities are numerous and you need to find a system that works for you because organizing is about making things easier.  Some suggestions for different closet systems are to sort your clothes by items – group all of the pants together, shirts, sweaters, skirts, and so on; sort by occasion – work, around the house, gym, evening, or other types of clothing you own; or sort by color – you can use this tip in addition to the previous two or on its own.

C is for consistency.  Be brutal with yourself once you have taken the time to organize your closet, make yourself stick to the system you implemented.  You don’t want all of your hard work to be for naught – without a little bit of discipline and consistency your closet could revert back to its former state.  After a couple of weeks of sticking with your new closet management system (whatever one you decide works for you), it will be second nature to put your clothes back where they belong and make it easier for you.

What To Expect Of Phone Service In Mexico 2014

While you are on your vacation to Mexico, you may need to communicate with friends and family back home. Or, you may have forgotten to relay some important information to a colleague at work. At the very least you may need to speak to a local restaurant over the phone to make reservations or call a golf course to set up a tee time. In any event, knowing what to expect of the phone service you will find in Mexico can be very helpful.

The phone in your hotel room may be the most convenient to use, but it is probably best to avoid using it for making long distance telephone calls. Most resorts contract their long distance call service out to a second party long distance company who charges exorbitant prices. Even making local calls from your room or suite could incur a surcharge from the resort for every call. Your best bet is to use the special pay phones that are located in and around most hotels that will charge about $1 a minute. That may seem a little pricey as well, but it is much better than the alternative. Make sure that when you check in that you have the person behind the counter explain to you what the local and long distance rates are. That way, if you do decide to use the phone in your room or if you have to use it for an urgent matter, at least you won't be surprised when you get the bill at check out time.

Calling cards are a great way to call home from Mexico. Purchasing a prepaid card for the many LADA Tel or TelMex payphones that are located in many public places is easy and affordable. Prepaid phone calling cards can be purchased at small kiosks, in supermarkets, and gift shops all over Mexico. If you buy calling cards before you leave home, make sure to call the toll free customer service number located on the back of the card and they can give you the international access code for calling from Mexico to the United States. Always be mindful of what phone you use, as some may not work with a calling card or they may charge a fee (usually by taking extra minutes from your card) above and beyond what you paid for the card.

Your personal cell phone may work in Mexico and you can obtain that information by speaking to your service provider before you leave. You can also go to your service provider's website to see coverage maps of the areas in Mexico that you will get service and which areas will incur roaming charges. Of course, it all depends on your location and what kind of coverage is available, but your provider should have that information as well. If your cell phone doesn't provide that service, there are often cheap prepaid cell phones for sale once you arrive in Mexico. Good places to find those would be at the airport, your hotel's gift shop, or larger shopping areas at your destination.

Wherever you plan on going you should be able to easily and affordably keep in contact with the folks back home. The country of Mexico has kept up with the technology of communication as well as most developed nations and there won't be a major resort area that will fail to provide for you.

What To Do On Your Vacation To Cancun, Mexico 2014

The name of Cancun, Mexico has become synonymous with Spring Break and over indulgent partying and drinking. But the successful growth of the area and proliferation of family hotels and resorts has created a vacation destination that isn't just a niche industry anymore. Vacationers of all tastes can find many fun and exciting activities to do in this tropical paradise.

Cancun is located on the western coast of Mexico and more specifically on the Yucatan peninsula. There are fourteen miles of white sand beaches that make up the beachfront of Cancun on the waters of the Caribbean Sea. As you would expect from any beach resort, all the usual activities from swimming to windsurfing to parasailing can be experienced there. If you are not the adventuresome type, you are perfectly welcome to just stretch out on a cabana chair and soak up the sun while you watch everyone else exert all sorts of energy.

For those of you who want to spend all of your time off of the beach and out on the water, you can charter any type of boat from small motorized crafts, power boats to large fishing yachts that will take you sport fishing, snorkeling, or scuba diving. The marine life near Cancun is quite diverse among the coral reefs that are just offshore and they can offer countless adventures viewing vividly colored fish and the corals themselves. Snorkeling and scuba diving are two of the most popular water sports to indulge in while you are in Cancun. The sparkling Caribbean waters offer some of the most beautiful underwater views. The network of lagoons in the area also offers a biodiversity of creatures, some of which you may have never heard of before.

Not far away are a plethora of archeological sites of Mayan culture that have become famous the world over. Places like Chichen Itza and Tulum provide the echoes of this ancient civilization that thrived hundreds of years before the Conquistadors arrived in the New World. While experiencing the crazy, party all night atmosphere of Cancun's clubs it may be hard to believe that these sights exist so close. But, there are many diverse tours that can escort you to visit these wonders and treat you to an experience that will certainly leave you impressed with the innovations developed by the Mayan people.

If you crave a challenge, you might like to take on one of the nine challenging golf courses in the Cancun area. All of them have famous pedigrees by being designed by some of the world's most famous names in course design, such as Nicklaus, Jones, Norman, and Dye. Especially thrilling are some of the courses built around some of the Mayan ruins, but whichever one you choose to tee off on, all of them have the most modern conveniences and features that one would expect from any private club in the United States.

Whether you are looking for a party, craving fun in the sun, or just looking for adventure, chances are you can find it in Cancun, Mexico. And it isn't mandatory that you have to experience it only during Spring Break.
